What were we looking for?

We were looking for Jersey innovators, entrepreneurs and problem-solvers with bright ideas that could change Jersey for the better.

The first Open Programme offered small grants to innovative proposals that introduced technology or services addressing the Island Priorities. Successful applicants were awarded up to £75,000 to contribute towards their work over a period of up to a year.

The deadline for submitting proposals to Open Programme One was midnight on 31st August 2023, with the Six successful recipients working on their projects until December 2024.  

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Jersey based business – registered with JFSC and proof of a business licence.
  • ​The proposed project must start within three months of the award and spend the funds within 12 months of commencement.
  • The applicant must intend to use the results of the work to create impact in Jersey.​
  • The lead applicant can only lead one application per programme call.​
  • Under current restrictions, this Programme will not fund any procurement, commercial, business development or supply chain activity with any countries or territories currently under sanctions with Russian or Belarusian entities.
  • The deadline for submitting proposals to Open Programme One is midnight on 31st August 2023.

Describe the technology solution you are proposing
How does your solution accelerate tech adoption in Jersey?
How does your solution align to the Open Programme Priorities?

2. Justification for funding (5%)
Why do you need funding from Impact Jersey to help you succeed?

3. Potential for market (15%)
What is the target market/audience?
How will you engage with the market/audience?

4. Delivering your project (25%)
What is your project plan and is it feasible?
Who is in your team? Describe the collective skills and experience you or your team have to deliver your project.

5. Impact and benefits (25%)
How will it create benefits for the people and economy of Jersey?
How will you spend the money and how does this represent good value for the Jersey taxpayer?
